Duties
Perform financial modeling of logistics data to forecast tariff-driven costs and evaluate profitability, using data mining, modeling, and cost/benefit analysis. Apply analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and control logistics operations and processes. Apply mathematical models of financial and business conditions. Develop and maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting. Calculate data to inform organizational operation. Analyze industry trends. Develop financial analysis methods and financial information systems. Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution. Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply chain efficiency, and minimize costs. Utilize logistics software (Magaya and other tools) to analyze client database, shipped commodities, and rates. Maintain data in information systems or databases. Prepare operational and financial reports. Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
Requirements
Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or a closely related field and at least two (2) years of experience as a logistics analyst, business analyst, financial analyst or a related occupation. Must have experience with: applying analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and control logistics operations and processes; developing and maintaining models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting; analyzing financial and logistical trends.
